I went through chapter 4 “WDM Network Design -1” of this book. I found so many annoying technical errors and inaccuracies, almost on all pages, of this chapter. It appears that authors copied various material and formula from various sources without fully understanding the material. In my view this kind of technical publication does more harm than service.

The book still may be useful if you are looking for only general ideas on the subject, but if you need accurate technical information, forget it.
